A friend and I were hunting an area along side of a railroad track in a place  where the train would stop and Union troops would get off... We hunted around and found a few drops and some spent cartridges.... So we decided to go to a hill in front of the site about 100 yards away and see if they had done any target practicing..... After a short while using the IIBa's, we started finding shot bullets of just about all calibers.
The first day we took out over 150, came back later and got about a 100 more.....
The bank was red clay and we were getting bullets at around 10" or so... As the number of targets got less, we turned our discrimation down to 5 and kept on digging.... later down to 1 on the discrimination ... there was so little trash, that the targets beyond the detectors ability to ID correctly were still good targets.. All together we were able to get over 400 shot bullets... All were like this, none were
really good at all........ I sold mine to a school and a relic dealer.....
The IIBa's performed flawlessly and absolutely love lead....Best to all, Richard

Sounds like a good spot Richard. I found a spot like that across a mill pond from a Union Cavalry camp. All shot bullets no brass. Can't beat the llb for getting down deep. Keep on digging. Frank
