| I use Timberwolf's and do notice a difference in faint sound changes and tones. Ron

| I agree with the headphone statement. I have a set of the Sunray Pro Golds and they are so much better than my "el cheepo" ones. It really helps to have them on, Beale.

| Beale, it's amazing, a hunter will pay a thousand dollar for a metal detector and buy a cheap pair of headphones and restrict the performance of that high end unit. I would equate this to building a high performance racing engine and use low octane gas to save money. Ron

Nugget busters here.
Bardok I've borrowed a set of Rats, sounds GREAT but the liner inside rubs on my ears and irritates them. Does your do that?

Gray Ghost's, Sunray Pro Gold's, Timberwolve's and Killer B's all work good with my Sovereign.
I'm down to the Gray Ghost's and the Killer B's now and found that I can hardly hear the signal from my new F75 through the Killer B's and the Gray Ghost's are just OK. The Pro Gold's worked great with my first F75. Now I wish I still had them.
This goes to show that not all phones work good with every detector.

Bottlebum,I have read a lot of post from hunters who have noticed better performance with different headphones.I agree both quality and the right headphones for the detector being used. The bottom line extra cash and some homework is required to get the best performance headphones for your detector. Happy Hunting Ron Last edited on Sat Aug 30th, 2008 01:53 pm by Ron-from-Mich

| One important note about headphones is fit.A couple of years ago I got a free set with a Fisher 1236X that I purchased. The headphones were small and tight fitting and even though I used them for about two weeks I developed symptoms of TMJ.After I quit using them the symptoms of my sore jaw disappeared. This almost cost me a trip to the dentist office.
